AppleTree Educational Center is Sierra County’s only nationally accredited early childhood program, providing free Pre-K for all four-year-olds and a full spectrum of services for children from birth through age twelve. The center offers inclusive, play-based learning, wrap-around care, scholarships, and a home visiting program for families with children prenatal to age three. AppleTree supports children with special needs, offers transportation, and provides year-round out-of-school care and a teen center. Their mission is to meet the needs of the whole child and family through research-based, developmentally appropriate programs.
