The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI) is the state’s only public psychiatric hospital, offering a full continuum of behavioral health services including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care. NMBHI provides treatment for adults, seniors, and youth with mental health and substance use disorders, including dual diagnosis, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation. The institute serves all populations, including those referred by courts and veterans, and offers specialized programs for older adults and individuals with serious mental illness. Telehealth and community outreach are available.
