GEAR UP at Portales High School provides academic, college, and career mentoring for students, including peer mentoring and leadership development. The program targets low-income and first-generation college-bound students, offering free services to help them succeed academically and prepare for postsecondary education. GEAR UP mentors are trained to support students’ academic and personal growth.
