Des Moines Senior Center provides hot lunches for seniors and home-delivered meals for homebound older adults and people with disabilities in northern Union County. The center also offers emergency food assistance and nutrition education. Meals are provided on a suggested donation basis, but no one is denied service due to inability to pay. The center’s mission is to promote health and well-being among seniors in rural areas.
