The Mora County 4-H program embeds youth mentoring within its core leadership, citizenship, and project-based learning activities. Adult and teen volunteer mentors guide younger members in group and one-on-one settings, offering support with academic goals, community service, personal growth, and future career exploration. Special emphasis is given to mentoring for rural, low-income, and at-risk youth. The program includes formal mentor training and age-appropriate curriculum, building life skills, peer connection, and self-confidence for all participants at no cost.
